We have used the same calculations as HMRC, but organised the calculator so it’s quick and easy for you to use. It also shows you the potential refund you might have given your circumstances.

What is the ‘all calculations’ button?
If you want to view other calculations and scenarios, click that button and more details will be revealed.
What are the fees?
We charge 35% of the total amount you receive as a refund. However, if you have a valid coupon code, our fees are typically 30% of the total refund you get for stamp duty from HMRC.
The percentage we charge may be lower if your refund is larger. It all depends on how much money you’re owed. We have a calculator that can help you understand exactly what our fees would be. Stampdutyadvicebureau.co.uk/tools/stamp-duty-calculator.
It’s important to remember, we work on a ‘No win, No Fee’ basis. That means you only pay us when you are paid.
Onboarding and fees
When we confirm you have a good refund case, we will ask you to sign our terms and conditions. (Link opens a new tab)
Our terms and conditions state:
11.9 “Service Charges” refer to the fees to be paid by the Client as detailed in the Contract. These charges are derived from a formula that determines the fee for a stamp duty refund service, based on the amount of stamp duty that can be refunded and a specified fee percentage as agreed with the client. This calculation method is employed in our stamp duty calculator, available at: Stampdutyadvicebureau.co.uk/tools/stamp-duty-calculator.
What does this mean?
This means we review your case and if we agree to submit your case to HMRC, we ask you to accept an estimate of fees. If the case is accepted and paid by HMRC, we will then invoice you for the amount in the agreed estimate.
